Born in San Francisco on August 18, 1928, Bernard P. Hagan remained a dedicated citizen of the city throughout his life. Bernard P. Hagan's roots in the San Francisco area go back three generations.
After completing elementary school and junior high at St. Monica School, Bernard P. Hagan attended St. Ignatius High School, where he played on the first St. Ignatius football team to win a city championship. After graduating from high school, Mr. Hagan joined the US Army. While stationed overseas, Mr. Hagan graduated from airborne jump school in Sendai, Japan, and served Japanese occupation duty as a member of the 187th infantry of the 11th Airborne Division. He prepared for his post-military career with a degree from the University of San Francisco. Mr. Hagan went on to garner valuable professional real estate experience with Westlake Realtors before he went into business as a partner in Hagan & Doherty Real Estate. For the past 40 years, Bernard P. Hagan operated his own San Francisco apartment and condominium development company. |
